Chronology
A group of friends gather for a pre-wedding party that descends into an existential nightmare when an estranged friend arrives with a mysterious game that stirs up long-hidden secrets, desires, and resentments. Throughout the film, background music that is variations on the second movement of Beethoven’s 7th symphony.
I went in not knowing anything and maybe that helped me appreciate it more that there were no expectations
Coppelia: Act I: ValseWriter by Léo Delibes Performed by Symfonický orkereti Slovenského rozhlasu (as Slovak Radio Orchestra) and Andrew Mogrelia arranged by Naxos of America with HD Music Now Inc. It’s pretty original, well written, and the cast may not be big names, but they all do a convincing job with the premise.
but that shouldn’t stop you from enjoying the crazy, delightfully confusing ride!
I also personally liked the directing and editing choices that fit the characters and this is a product of our time, but I can understand why it could be polarizing for some people who might be annoyed by the whole younger millennial vibe. While I think most people will be guessing until the end with all the twists and turns, if you’ve seen a lot of similar movies, you might be able to guess most of what’s going to happen.
